  7. This is the Diamond Monster 3D II Series Windows 9x DirectX 6 Drivers
  8. version 4.10.01.0205 with Glide drivers version 2.54  
  9.  
  10. This driver implements 3DNow! support.
  11.  
  12. Existing Drivers Installed or PCI Multimedia Device shown in Device Mgr
  13. -----------------------------------------------------------------------
  14. 1) Start Windows 95 and open Device Manager (Control Panel, System)
  15.  
  16. 2) Locate the existing reference to the card it will be listed as:
  17.  
  18.        Reference Card: Other Devices / PCI Multimedia Device or
  19.                Sound, Video, Game Controllers / Monster 3D II
  20.  
  21. 3) Double Click on the card, then click the driver Tab
  22.  
  23. 4) Click Change Driver and choose Have Disk.
  24.  
  25. 5) Point to X:\ (Where X:\ is the the directory containing these drivers.)
  26.    and click OK.
  27.  
  28. 6) Select Monster 3D II from the List and click OK.  Click OK again to save
  29.    changes in Device Manager.
  30.  
  31. 7) You MAY then be prompted to insert the "DirectX Drivers for Monster 3D II
  32.    Accelerator" Disk.  Again, point to Point to X:\ (Where X:\ is the the
  33.    directory containing these drivers.) and press OK.
  34.  
  35. 8) Windows will copy the drivers from the CD. Reboot the system when prompted
  36.  
  37. 9) Install DirectX 6.0.  (If not already installed)

  41. No Current Drivers Installed

  44. 1) Start Windows 95
  45.  
  46. 2) Power off System and install your Monster 3D II  
  47.    Accelerator into a PCI slot. 
  48.  
  49. 3) Restart Windows 95 after hardware installation.
  50.  
  51. 4) Windows 95 will detect a "PCI Multimedia Device", you need to:
  52.  
  53.      Windows 95 Standard Release users: Select "Use Driver from Mfr"
  54.                                         and click OK
  55.               Windows 95 OEM SR2 users: Click the Next Button on the
  56.                                         Detection Dialog Box
  57.  
  58. 5) Point to X:\ (Where X:\ is the the directory containing these drivers.)
  59.    and click OK.
  60.  
  61. 6) Select Monster 3D II from the List and click OK.  
  62.    Click OK again to save changes in Device Manager.
  63.  
  64. 7) You MAY then be prompted to insert the "DirectX Drivers for Monster 3D II
  65.    Accelerator" Disk.  Again, point to Point to X:\ (Where X:\ is the the 
  66.    directory containing these drivers.) and press OK.

  78. Problem: After installing this driver, the Control panel applet I had
  79. for a Monster 3D Graphics card is gone.
  80.  
  81. Resolution: Monster 3D II will uninstall *ANY* Monster 3D Graphics drivers.  This
  82. is to ensure only Monster 3D II drivers are on the system.
